To Mr. Moshe Ishay Messika.
We have received your request addressed to our master the Rishon LeZion, the Gaon Rabbi David Yosef shlita.
The Rishon LeZion shlita wished to bless you for the initiative of inventing the “Metsit Yom Tov”, so that it may be used on Yom Tov in accordance with the attached guidelines. He noted that it is advisable to test the device before the holiday, to make sure it works properly and to avoid any concern on Yom Tov. Likewise, it is appropriate to affix a sticker or similar marking on the device itself, with “Metsit Yom Tov” written prominently, as a distinguishing sign.
And all those who bring merit to the public, in Torah, in mitzvot and in keeping away from prohibitions, their reward is great.
With blessings,
Office of the Rishon LeZion, Chief Rabbi of Israel, President of the Great Rabbinical Court
